I can see his eyes.

Trying to keep track of just how many braids I braided
at camp in three days. I figured I did over 30 heads.
Here are a few of my clients. I had people lined up. Crazy!!!!
It all started with me braiding Savannah's head. It was
kinda cool though. I got creative in how the braid was made.

Lake Swimming

I hate swimming in the lake but it was hot enough
to get in. I decided that I would rather be wet and cool
than hot and miserable. Wasn't too bad.

Skit night. She was the inspector looking for
the light. (theme of camp - Lighthouse). They
were really funny. I was impressed.

Girls Camp Texas Style

Our 3 Mile hike that we went on. I was in charge of the 1st years
I had 10 girls 3 YCLs. We had the largest group. My friend laughed at
my socks. Wearing long socks, I got no chiggers and mosquito's bites. There
is madness in wearing them. She told me I looked like a "red neck". I do have
to agree but I am bite free. So we were to walk a 3 mile, and their was to be a truck
at the 1/2 way mark to give us fresh water and to walk back. About 1 1/2 hrs later we
came to the conclusion that there was no truck. we then turned around to go back water less.
We came upon the truck 1/2 back. It was my truck. a good bishop came to save us. They forgot
to send someone out to meet us. Opps.

Last night and they gave us smores. They all
decided that they needed beards and go-tees. They wanted a photo.

So initiation of 1st years. "Snipe hunt". We took the
girls on the famous snipe hunt. The older girls told them
they needed to wear toothpaste on their face that the snipes liked
the smell of it. OK, that is your first question on is this really true.Toothpaste? Well
we had them walking around with a pillow case clicking their tongues. We had a good laugh.

WYLIE YOUNG GUN ALL STAR TEAM

Savannah got nominated to play on a softball All star team
this summer. We went to Midland for our first tournament.
We played 10 games in 2 days. It was HOT!!!! These girls
did an awesome job. Our favorite game was playing a team
called the Fusion. We had lost to them on our first game. 10 to 0.
Later in the day we faced them again. We were down 8 to 4. We rallied
and tied the game 8 to 8. We went into overtime. This is where these
girls shinned. We rattled the pitcher and we were hitting the ball
right and left into the outfield. We won the game 14 to 11. What a game

She makes a mom proud. She can put 10 pieces
in her mouth and chew the hubba buba. She LOVES gum.

After each game the girls would get in a circle and
sing a song and do a fun dance. Such a great experience
to form friendships

and only struck out once. She hit every time. She
had a couple of awesome hits.

Weather break. We had server weather an hour ago. They
were right on time. the called the game off for 40 minutes
due to lightening. So we sat in the sun for an hour. Watching
the storm off in a distance. It was ok. It gave Savannah time
to heat her elbow and give it a rest.

Memorial Weekend

We had a great Memorial Weekend with our friends. The Wood's invited us to spend the day at their parents house on Lake Leon. It was awesome, it was our first swim of the season. We ate, swam and fished. The weather was great and the company was awesome.
