Weather break. We had server weather an hour ago. They
were right on time. the called the game off for 40 minutes
due to lightening. So we sat in the sun for an hour. Watching
the storm off in a distance. It was ok. It gave Savannah time
to heat her elbow and give it a rest.

Memorial Weekend

We had a great Memorial Weekend with our friends. The Wood's invited us to spend the day at their parents house on Lake Leon. It was awesome, it was our first swim of the season. We ate, swam and fished. The weather was great and the company was awesome.

Team Trophy. It was as tall as Savannah

Team photo. The Rebels went undefeated the whole
weekend. Savannah was on a fast pitch softball team who
played in the Wylie District Tournament. Her team stomped the
other teams. Each game we played we won by 10 or more. It
was a fun weekend for the girls.
Next weekend we are off to Midland for the State Tournament..
Hot and miserable we are told.

memories of May

May is a month for me to remember
my husband's birthday and also graduations.
I can't believe how many years have gone by and
3 kids later. We have been blessed with a wonderful life
and wonderful children. Now as my last little one is embarking
on a new part of his life Cavin and I are doing the same. I am
afraid if I close my eyes too long it will be over. Casin in this
photo is 5 the same age Skyler is now. Now Casin is 16 and
branching out on his own. How can I stop my kids from growing up?

We "thought" we finished out our Softball season only to find out.....

Savannah made All star team and Tournament
traveling team. Our season starts again for the month
of June.


This is her first time to play all stars. We are always
in Utah. She was really excited.

I got. Trophy's and a hot sweaty summer
of playing catcher. She loves. it.

So this is what happens when you leave your kids.

So for the first time in our marriage life, Cavin and I were both gone and left the kids without the grandparents for less than 24 hours and we get the dreaded phone call. "Dad the truck caught on fire." So for all you Ford Truck owners, yes the cruise control recall does catch on fire." Casin went to Seminary early Monday morning. He called his dad to tell him his blinker wasn't working and the fuse keeps blowing when he replaces it and the truck smelt funny. So off to Seminary he goes. Dad tells him he will look at it when he gets home. Within 5 minutes, (Thank goodness one of the parents sleeps in his car due to early morning class). Dan came running in and yelled," Call the fire department Casin's truck is on fire." Casin starred stunned for a minute then ran off to save his only wheels. They got the fire out before the Fire department got there. Thanks to Dan's quick thinking and help, our truck didn't burn to the ground like most trucks who catch on fire. The recall was on the cruise control and that is what started the fire. Because it got out so quickly, the truck is repairable. So what did we learn from this?



1. Recalls need to be done.

2. Try to get recall done before company goes into Failure - Yes you guessed it no compensation only a recorded message, "Sorry for you loss."

3. So when your kid says, "The truck smells funny." That is a good sign that maybe burning electrical is going on under the hood.

4. A free repair and free replacement kit from Ford -make an appointment

5. $1000.00 replacement kit for burned truck.......Priceless



OK, kidding aside, WE are so GRATEFUL that our son wasn't in the truck when this happened and that even though it sucks we have to pay for a repair. That is replaceable. Our valuable Jewel was in Seminary being watched over.
